Can a TPC 400 be used to run Legacy engines using the existing cable that goes from the TPC 400 Com Data terminals to A TMCC base plugged into a Legacy Y cord?
Thanks

Yes, that's the way I have mine connected. If you add more TPC or some TMCC accessory units you may need to add a SER2 module as the old TMCC accessories pull down the serial data.
Thank you for the information.

what transformer are you using?
Lionel 180 watt power house (180 brick)

only one?
because if you run two when your tpc dies they are no longer made and are supposed to be replaced with this;
http://www.lionel.com/products...powermaster-6-82883/
but I can not find them on the shipping schedule anymore.
does anyone know what happened to them?
Oh oh, I intended to replace my TPC 400's with them. Hopefully someone in the know will weigh in.

I have 4 TPC 400's and 8, 180 watt bricks I plan on selling next Saturday. Now I know why 180 watt bricks are rising in price on E-Bay. I asked the Legacy question so I could provide an informed answer to any potential buyers who ask about running their Legacy engines. before buying. I've converted my layout to all Z4000's. Thanks for the info on the 180 watt bricks going away. Very helpful.

E-bay only has one TPC 400 that I could find for $179.95. I guess their value will go up too.

The 180W PowerHouse Power Supply (6-22983) or bricks are due to arrive in July. It's the 360 Legacy PowerMasters that have fallen off the list. It's supply and demand on eBay.
