Does anyone know of a 27"-30" diameter three rail track with attached roadbed...something similar to Fast Track or Real Trax.  Web search has provided no solutions.  I need a five foot long oval of something I can lay down on carpet and not worry about oil stains, etc.

Ran my old Marx 999 under the tree last Christmas and the stains still show in places.

Thanks, Nicole.  Space IS an issue because my wife and the kids and their families pretty much fill up a 13' x 26' living room with "stuff" and I have to run my Marx 999 and cars around the TV stand and across in front.  If it comes out much further it'll get stepped on as sure as can be.

The only other solution is a door on the patio table, but I don't want to have to bring it in every night

The way realtrax is measured (I think its outer rail to outer rail, but it might even be to the edge of the roadbed), 031 realtrax is probably the narrowest you're going to get with the roadbed attached. A 5' oval is probably about what comes in a RTR set these days, if you look on ebay, you can usually find a set thats been broken up and buy just the oval of track.

The Marx roadbed is a very good idea. Here's a picture of a few straights:

I use this stuff on my Marx layout; the trackplan is roughly 27" x 54":

The track is removable from the roadbed, but it has to be Marx track. When I bought this stuff, I removed all the track from it, and cleaned all the track up with a scotchbrite pad and then popped it back in. You could also replace the track if you find some of this roadbed with really bad track in it.
