Has anyone had success in running a commercially available track cleaning car through Ross Ready Switches without the cleaning rollers, pads, etc. getting hung up on the DZ-1000 switch machines.
If so please let me know.
Thank you.

There are numerous posts on track cleaning cars on this forum.
Personally. I use a Northeast Track Cleaning car. I have all Z1000 turnout machines.
I agree, I use the Northeast Track Cleaning Car and have all Ross Switches with Z1000s, works like a champ.
I also agree, my Northeast Trains TC Car works great. I use Goo Gone on the front pad and leave the rear pad dry and you can see the the great results and never had them snagging on turnouts.
I am in agreement with all ahead of me. My layout is a relatively simple 8' by 24' design with no hills and all Gargraves and Ross trackage and switches.
Most commonly I run my Trackman 2000 with Scotchbrite purple pads, it hasn't hung up on any of my Ross switches. I have what might be troublesome switches, Double Slip Switches, curved switches, etc. I also have the Northeast Trains track cleaner, but it's buried in some box right now.
Yep, never understood why the Trackman 2000 wasn't more popular, works great and I don't need any wet fluids to get the track clean.
Thanks to all who took the time to respond. Ordered the NE Track Cleaning car this afternoon.

Mike,
Good choice! I have Two Cars. I dampen down the front car PADS w/ Goo Gone & then the second car behind that one with Two Pads to pick up the Residue! Works great !!

What is this "Northeast Track Cleaning Car" everyone is talking about? Where is it available?
What is a suitable product to use for pads? Or is there actually replacement pads that can be purchased somewhere?
