Just starting to work on a new layout. Does anyone know how to import a trackplan into SCARM and adjust its size to match what I have already done? I've tried but without mush luck.

I don't recall any program that would take a predawn plan and convert it automatically.
So the next solution is to take what you already have made and redraw it with the new software using the track sections you previously used. If all you are working from is a drawn or sketched line of track on paper, this approach will show where your freehanding was off. Most sketches have curves that are too tight.

If you take a photo of your older track plan or use the windows snipping tool to create a .jpg(picture file type) of the layout.
Then, when SCARM is open, Select VIEW on the top menu bar and then select BACKGROUND IMAGE in the context menu. Then point it to the picture file of the old plan.
Now you will a small picture in the top left of SCARM. Click on the lower right corner and drag it to closely match the size of the layout that is opened in SCARM.
This feature has allowed me to take many layouts and have a working image while I create it in SCARM.
here is an attempt at creating the Elbridge Russell 1905 Carlisle and finch layout in FasTrack. It won't work, but here it is to see how to employ a background image.
