How do determine the diameter of gargraves and Ross three rail track curves.

Layout a 1/2 circle and measure its diameter.

Both Gargraves and Ross are measured center-rail to center-rail. So a O-72 circle should measure 6' beteen the center rails, O-42 would be 3'6" C-C, etc.
That said, based on my experience with the two types I think Ross is more accurate while Gargraves is a little larger in diameter.
