There are several case lots of traditional Lionel O gauge track on EBay right now. Judging by the bidding (plus shipping), there must be a few people who still want that stuff

There are still a lot of us who run pre and postwar trains that prefer the old tubular track. Though buying it on ebay must drive up the cost when you add in the shipping. I often get the stock I need at local shows or through networks where I can find it locally like my local TCA network.

I've bought a few lots of O-27 on there for a buck + flat rate shipping, most of it was well past cleaning, but I figure the pins that I got out of it were worth at least that.
The lots of track I was watching on EBay were sealed cases of Lionel "O" gauge track, standard length straights, 031 curves, half straights, and extra long straights, each in a separate lot.
When shipping is considered, I think the standard straights and curves came out to costing around $2.00 per section.
I use "O" gauge track. When the rumors of Lionel dropping the track started going around, I purchased enough to fulfill any future needs. That was quite a while ago
Personally, I only purchase used track at a train show or at my local hobby shop where I can touch and feel it before I pay for it. Unfortunately, people have a different definition of excellent and very good. Some of the track that I used to purchase on the OGR forum or on eBay was listed as excellent but by my standards it was at best, good.
