The Great Scale and Model Railroad Collectors Train Show will be held this weekend, February 3 and 4, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Lots of modular layouts in all scales, including O Gauge National Capital Trackers and DC Independent Hi-Railers. Lots of sellers, too! Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, Sunday 10 AM-4 PM. Fairgrounds is on York Road, use I-83 exits for Timonium Rd. or Padonia Rd.

I'll be there bringing my 15 year old grandson with me and he seems to be excited about the show. It will be his first exposure to a train show and I'm excited about the experience with him.

We attended this show last year or the year before. Lots of layouts during our visit, including one with a cool castle on top of a hill.

Good attendance and variety of items for sale.

Big crowds yesterday. Today show is open 10 AM-4PM. Unexpected power issues led to Union Pacific providing a locomotive for the Amtrak train.
