The Southern Museum is currently planning its fifth  annual Trains, Trains, Trains event forJanuary 24, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM  Last year, this event surpassed standing records for single day admissions and gift shop sales. What started in their education center has grown to take over the entire 45,000 square foot museum demonstrating the great interest for trains within the community.  Appealing to families and model railroad enthusiasts alike, Trains, Trains, Trains offers an array of fun and education through hands-on activities. Every year, the Southern Museum strives to grow this event to make it bigger and better than the year before.  Overall, we wish to continue development and expansion so as to make this program the museum event that people look forward to every year.  We invite all of you to attend this informative, educational and most of all fun event!

For the Jan 25, Trains, Trains, Trains, Event held at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw GA, the LCCA donated a Lionel Thomas the Tank Starter Set.   Here is a photo of the happy and lucky door prize winner, Jimmy Cotty with Museum Director (and LCCA Member) Dr. Richard Banz (L) and Sara Wilson the Events Coordinator for the museum.

It was a great event.   Thanks go out to all of our members who attended and LCCA Member David Rodgers for representing the LCCA at this fun and worthwhile special event.

Best regards,

Great place for such an event, there's a CSX main running just a few feet away from one of the walls of the building, the old Big Shanty depot right across the street, and some steam locomotive axles and drivers oddly decorating an office complex on your way there from the highway.

Not to mention the Hobbytown in Kennesaw is also close by, one of the best locations of that chain I've ever seen...
