Team,

The NJ HiRailers would like to thank all that attended. A few outstanding notes to those people, companies, etc. that donated items for raffle on 12/7, 12/21 and today. We thank them for their generosity and for helping make the events memorable.

Show notes - If you missed Trainstock 7 then you missed some really cool stuff. Alex brought with him a working demo of a great new accessory he is about to offer in the market. An ash pit with working LED embedded in the pit along with a smoke unit that really set the stage. Smoked great and two way to operate. For the demo, a simple push button the get things started. Easy to cut into any layout and isolated for prototypical use. Outstanding, impressive and a must for your layout. Alex will post pictures soon.

Chris, Jim, and John - The triplehead Big Boy video was awesome and most of you saw that. Today a new level of awesome but - added GunRunner's Big Boy into the mix and we ran, yes, ran 4 a one time. Hopefully some great videos are posted. Well done.

Tables of trains to buy and sell and lots of activity.

We can't forget the food - simply great.

A great day Trainstock. I can't wait for next year.

Thanks to all

Another very successful event at the NJ HiRailers. The best train event each January. I do not believe that anyone will ever see 4 big boys running back to back again, pulling what looked like 50-60 reefers. Only NJHR could pull this off. There were some really nice additions to the layout, the food was excellent, the folks friendly and as always, the clubs hospitality is unparalleled. Thank you guys, you made my day and did something really special for the model railroading community.

Thanks Ben, John and the rest of you for your words of support & welcoming me back to the scene. Those Mario Bros. are really the best. That was the first time I have seen the Club's calendar and it really deserves wider exposure; I'm going to try to make it a special request from my ladies for next Christmas. And yes, those safety vests are the real sleeper collector items ...

Again, thanks guys.

Outstanding hospitality by the NJ Hi-Railers and really wonderful food by Vinny!  And those trains!!  Oh! All those trains!!  What a marvelous time Lynley and I had.  It's always a treat to spend time with the OGR Universe at Trainstock.

A sincere thank you to Mr. Callen, Matt, Ben, Jim, John and all of the NJ Hi-Railers for hosting Trainstock again.  It is appreciated and we look forward to seeing everyone next time!

(And those canolis…. my goodness!)

Quad Headed Big Boy action at Trainstock 7!

Thanks to GunrunnerJohn for supplying the 4th BB.  It was quite a struggle.  Sorry about no smoke but turning on the smoke units put our poor ZW-L over the top.  Di-Lithium crystals and anti-matter injectors were at maximum!

We also (as you can see in the 1st segment) had a few problems with the o-gauge couplers.  Sorry about the early cut-off but my phone also ran out of juice.

But we prevailed and set a new Big Boy world record.

Hi Ben and the rest of the NJ Hi-Railers,

My wife, Kathie, and I had a fabulous time at Trainstock 7, as we have at the previous years' shows. It gets better every year! Seeing first three, then four, Big Boys MU'ed was truly awesome. There are few layouts on which that would be so impressive a sight! We got there before 10 and didn't leave until about 2:30 and it went by in a flash.

The hospitality of all the club members and, of course, Vinny's (and his helpers') great food, make it what it is. Thank you to all of you, and to the ladies serving and selling hats and t-shirts, too.

As I've said before, Trainstock is the best cure for the post-Christmas blues.

Happy training and God bless America.

Chris

Had a great time yesterday at TrainFest 7.  The layout gets more amazing each year.  The hospitality, the food - every thing was outstanding.  And I would also like to thank every one who came by or stopped me to ask about how my wife is doing.  I relayed all your good wishes to her and she really appreciated it.

Thanks again for a great emotional lift.

It was really nice to go to this. I've been trying to get there since the first one. Unfortunately because of my old job it was impossible. As some of you know I'm in the car business and Saturday is our busiest day of the week. Taking off on a Saturday is out of the question. Lol. So my new job allows me to have weekends off like a normal person.
So like I said it was my first opportunity to meet a lot of new people that I only know from the forum.

My Daughter and I really had a great time. It was nice seeing everyone. The food smelled so good but the conversation was better. Lol

It was nice talking to some of the guys and catching up.

Can't wait for next year.

Chris thanks for posting the pictures.

Mike R
