Hello--

My actual o-gauge track layout is nearly complete, and I'm in the planning stage for the scenery aspect. The layout depicts wintertime in the mountains, with many tunnels/many level changes, and the train re-appearing out of portals that you wouldn't necessarily anticipate it to.

At any rate, the layout will be devoid of many "props" outside of a scratch-built cabin and an abandoned mine area. I plan on putting quite a few evergreen trees. I'm finding that trees marked as being o-gauge run the gamut in sizes from 5" up to 16" or 18" tall. Naturally trees vary in size, but any suggestion as to what height would look most authentic for groves of old-growth evergreens sprinkled around the mountainous areas? Any specific brands I should look for that are good value? Does anyone have experience/opinions on the trees that come pre-snowed-on?

Any/all advice appreciated! Thanks!
