Truck removal on K Line ore car

That plastic rivet will come right out with sharp nose pliers and you can use lionel die-cast trucks on it 610-9950-050. I would get a hold of boxcar bill. 

This car sits way too high with those style of trucks.  Try using Weaver, Atlas, or the new Lionel roller bearing diecast trucks to lower it closer to scale height.

Is there asnyone out there who has one of these plastic trucks. I have a four car set, and just want to replace the one damaged truck. I will be giving these as gifts. My e mail is my profile, thanks.

Don i was checking Brasseur trains for k-line truck part number k5000 or k5000x. I would call or email them for which truck you need and if this the right truck for your ore car.

How quickly do you need the truck?  I converted 3 of those ore cars to the weaver trucks to lower them.  Just have to dig them up but it sounds as if you may be in a rush.

I'm not in a hurry. They sold for a good price on the bay, so I bought them for future use. Let me know whenever you locate the trucks.
