Every fall, York County Heritage hold their annual Oyster Festival at the York Agricultural Museum on the Sunday after the York TCA meet. It's a really nice day, with not just oysters, but shrimp and other food, beers and wines on tap, music and a great museum to tour. If you are traveling to York you should consider staying the extra day for this event, it's really great fun and makes the trip to York even more worthwhile.

I live on the Maine coast. I don't need to go to York for seafood.
I plan on checking it out this year due to your recommendation! I'm going to combine York with a trip to Gettysburg this year as I had a relative fight in the battle so I have some extra time since I'm coming home Monday.
Regards, Greg
I like seafood except for oysters. Besides I just spent a week on the Jersey Shore (fish, scallops, shrimp, clams, lobster, steak) and then dinner in Baltimore (crabcakes). Too much of a good thing.
I go to Pennsylvania for the Scrapple!

Greg, you'll have a great day there, it's definitely worth going to.
OYSTERS ?!?!
Jerry
York oysters sound great! All oysters are yum! Here are some that we had at Nick's Cove Restaurant in Tomales Bay, CA... and the Mission Rock Restaurant in San Francisco. They're especially good with San Francisco's own Anchor Steam draft beer...in a Mason jar! Matt
