I don't know if this was a rerun but tonites episode on TBS had the father running a figure 8 layout set up on the dining room table. Later in the show, he expands it to go through the kitchen. Typical over the top TV with him wearing an engineers cap and a goofy t-shirt with an inane reference to cabooses.

I remember an episode from several years ago where he had the figure 8 setup which I thought was pretty cool. I think in 2011 I saw an episode where he expanded into the kitchen, so I don't know if it was a rerun or a new episode either. The trains have been featured in several episodes since the show first aired.
Tyler Perry's O-gauge home layout was shown last night on an Oprah Winfrey show last night. Almost needless to say, It was quite stunning. Overall I would say the design was not "over the top" or gaudy , rather it was clean, smart and creative. I was surprised how much time of the show and his home were spent on the layout. His discussion of the layout centered on the recuperative/regenerative aspect of playing with his trains.
