As long as MTH is doing some uncatalogued locomotives, how about doing a Railking Alco RS3 in the Erie-Lackawanna black and yellow transition colors

(In the request list at MTH and Muffins)

Several indications show that items will continue on but in a new way.  Custom runs per requests from customers vs. a catalog going forward.

A smart way to market and continue sales during the transition

I suspect these uncatalogued loco's are housecleaning.

MTH house cleaning has been going on for several years now by using Perry’s toy exchange on ebay perrystoyexchange on eBay

I bought a few marked production samples over the years. MTH has also used an auction house recently. Anyone who is selling a company to another group cleans house before selling to someone else, just common business practice.

Not really "house cleaning," per se. For example, among the recently announced SW-1 switchers is one in Union RR livery. Although the SW-1 is not new to the extensive MTH line of locomotives, the URR livery certainly is, and it is not something that was previously produced, even as a special run for someone. There are numerous other examples, as well. I'm not certain just what is going on with MTH . . . not sure anyone except the three guys at the top (and perhaps one or two others) know for sure.
