I'm thinking of replacing the DZ1000 switch machines on some of my Ross switches for another model that provides "taps" for connecting to a trackside signal without fooling around with the DZ1008 or some other relay.  (I tried the DZ1008 set-up a few years ago and just was not impressed with that technical approach for a variety of reasons.)

My ultimate goal would be to have some switches connected to track side signals showing green or red depending on the turnout's direction (straight or diverging).

Can anyone recommend an undertable replacement switch motor that can also work with trackside signals?

Thank you.

I have been using Tortoise switch machines since 1990 with great success.  They are easy to wire and include two sets of single pole double throw relay contacts.  They are a little tricky to install but once you do two or three, it goes pretty well.

There are several other threads currently on the forum that might also be useful for you to review.

Good luck with your decision.

Happy railroading,

Don
