MTH made one of these a long time ago and Lionel has never made one. With the advances in electronics, it is time for a nicely detailed O Gauge model that is capable of sending up a large cloud of smoke from the second (booster) unit. Such a model would necessarily be a hit at the train shows and generate additional interest in our love affair with the magic of O gauge!

That "second (booster) unit" is actually THE turbine. The lead section only has a diesel "donkey" engine for moving around the terminal light.
Such a model would necessarily be a hit at the train shows and generate additional interest in our love affair with the magic of O gauge!
My 2.0 MTH model does just that, i.e. smokes like crazy out of the turbine exhaust, and was always a big hit at the shows we used to do.
