You’ve posted this in the tinplate forum, which I don’t recall there being a tinplate Navy set. There were one post war set, a Kuhn era set and a reissue of the postwar set. Which one are you thinking of?

I found reference to 1633 for PW. Alco AB, sub, missle car, copter car, caboose. (X-628 set also, minute man boxcar vs Allis-Chalmers launcher types)
6-38353 is the X-set remake listed in the 2014 catalog (made?)
6-11745 yellow SW loco, sub, crane, boxcar, gondola+containers, caboose, semi-truck bonus (no flat car for it)
The set is a 400E with 4 passenger cars. Navy blue, yellow stripes with a couple of red crosses.
The cars are named for the USN: Annapolis, USMC, Walter Reed, and another named car.(not sure)
This set was a recent item for sale, and, along with the similar US Army Set, is sold out.

Norm, here’s a link to pictures of the Santa Fe version of the cars you asked about, but I don’t think there are photos of the actual Navy set. Hope this helps some.
Thanks,Ted. I saw that posting before. I am wondering how this set looks in real time. I understand that it is a small run has just been recently shipped and is sold out. The cars are: Annapolis,Camp LeJeune,San Diego, and Pensacola.

Pat's trains in Wheeling W Va would be the authority on this. While I have not seen this set out of the box, I have seen 5 of this last MTH/Lionel set issuance in the flesh and they are terrific.
Only ten sets of each road name produced. Until a lucky buyer opens their boxes and snaps a 'setfie' , it is unlikely that anyone will get a gander.
Norm,
As a Naval Academy grad and a retired Navy SEAL I had to have this set. I just picked up my set at the post office and haven't unpacked it yet. As soon as I do, I will take pictures and post them.

PS. Both my parents graduated from the University of Michigan as did many of my relatives and I probably would have gone there too if I hadn't gotten an appointment to the Naval Academy!
As a retired Navy man, I am always looking for USN train cars and other things. That set is stunning. I am not into Tin Plate so I didn't know about the set until I saw it on the forum. I will have to look around for one. NH Joe

You will only find this at @PatsTrains in WV. Pat is a forum sponsor. Also, this is standard gauge, so if you make the investment, make sure you have room to show it off!!
Just got mine yesterday, thanks Terry Hudson. Jest doing an electronics test before I service it.

I'm having a shorting problem. Not sure if it's a certain spot in the track or one of the passenger cars or?
The rest of the Navy Train.
