I'm posting this here, since the majority of O scale videos typically focus on 3 rail.

The future of model railroading is often discussed and with that in mind:

I mentioned this recently; it looks like there's an awful lot of newer YouTube channels popping up that are hosted by younger people. Dunno if it's partly because they are better at it than us older folks, (šŸ˜) but whatever the reason I think it's a good sign for the overall health of the hobby.

Just thinking out loud while I recover...

Mark, youā€™re definitely correct.  I got into O a little over four years ago.  At that time, on YouTube it was basically Ericā€™s Trains and a bunch of home vids of postwar flying around at 100mph.  Of course, Iā€™m generalizing (apologies to JDStucks for one)

As a hobby newbie, I was shocked at how little content there was in 2018, especially quality content.  By contrast, the current era is a golden age.  IMO there should be more.

Iā€™ve watched Ken Pattersonā€™s HO weekly show and thought how cool it would be for someone to do a regular weekly show for O.  As a selfish viewer, Iā€™m waiting for someone who produces regular O scale content and says ā€œthis is my jobā€ rather than just a sidebar to their day job.  It has been fun watching more and more stuff get developed.
