The parking lot didn't look as full as usual. I pulled all the way up.
Sorry, Art, it was too easy.
Enjoyed it !!
Any interesting purchases?

I'm not sure anyone was selling anything were they? I think it was more or less the manufacturers and such in a chat session.
I think it was done very well for a virtual event. Ken jr. did a great job of setting it up and being the host. Everyone did a good job of presenting and were all doing the best they could with what they had.
Just thought some of the discussions would have planted a "seed" of acquisition! LOL!

Where can one get an unabridged copy of The Rules of Acquisition, anyway?

I believe there is a copy in Quark's Bar.
I actually had a copy years ago when I worked for Barnes and Noble. It was quite a hoot! I will check my bookcase tonight!
I go to bed too early to see all of it, but I did watch 90 minutes each night. Last night I even figured out how to share it to my 50” TV, so I could watch it and clean my track at the same time. I really liked what I saw, especially the guys from MTH.
I thought it was awesome - Thanks to everyone involved 👍🏼
Also - OGR sold a digital subscription - great deal - Thank You
I picked up some nice pieces in the red hall. Wasn't looking for much. The auction tonight in the green hall should be interesting. I saw a lot of boxed postwar I hope will go for reasonable prices.
Did Ryan from Lionel mention something about a big announcement in the coming weeks that included Trainworld ?

If you watched the first night, (Wednesday) there were several offerings/specials!

We also offered and still are both 50% off digital subscriptions for NEW subscribers to the digital edition. If you have been a print only person but would like to try the digital for the first time, you are considered a NEW subscriber in this case. Also we are offering 20% off of our webstore products. Go to this special landing page which I had up during the first night event

I am excited that Ryan has a big surprise coming soon. I thought it was great to hear the attendance numbers online. Proves there is a vacuum that was filled. Thank you to all who set this up. If I squinted I swear we were all at the diner eating scrapple with maple syrup. Oh those days👍
I'm sorry, but I can't figure out this whole thread. i have no idea what they are talking about here.
I thought York was very well done. Considering the short timeframe to get it all organized, it came off like it had been months in the planning.

Train land held a Virtual York Meet online over two days (I think it was on Facebook). It seemed like it was an online version of the OGR meeting at every York - a mix of manufacturers and vendors talking about what they are up to. I believe Alan posted a link to the video of the first half.

You are correct my friend!!.....Both Ken Jr. and I posted the video here on the forum. A quick search in the featured topics as well as on the forum search will help locate the posts and video concerning this great event Ken Jr. produced.
Good job by all
It was well done....I saw nothing that I will rush out and buy......right now, I will cover my existing preorders and just squirrel money away for October.

I was looking under the table for bargains, but all I found was some carpet lint, a couple pieces popcorn and Sylvia Siamese, who was napping.

Very well done, but I missed the opening ceremonies and the random hall announcements!
I had to pause it and run to the bathroom.
Free to pee!!! Free to pee!!!
No bathroom attendant watching for me to drop quarters in the basket. (Felt like a cheapskate. I'm at York.)

I trust you placed the appropriate directional arrows around the house
I got frustrated by everyone ignoring the one way arrows. Other than that it was the best experience of my life. Same ol' York.

Should have lowered your prices, John... must have been a pain carting the remaining 60% home
I had a great (in my imagination) pumpkin funnel cake.
Oh, wait. Those guys outside Blue/Silver have been gone for a year or two now.
The memory is sweet. Dang.
The virtual York was well done. I enjoyed the sneak peak session, on the MTH 2020 Volume Two Catalog………..

I thought the event was well done as well. I enjoyed it very much.
Where are the links so that we can watch the recorded sessions again?
Thanks!
I enjoyed it, thank you Trainworld and all that participated.

It was great!
I was able to attend all the events without wearing a badge.
My rendition of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The USA" fell short....but it got the dog out of my comfy chair.
I left with the same amount of money I came with.
A gorgeous person (wife) served me a Smithwick's while attending the show ...meet...(sorry, Eddie).
My legs weren't tired at the end of the day's events.
I had no tire marks from an Amigo anywhere on my body.
OTOH.....
The only other person in the 'hall' during the presentation knew exactly who had 'dusted the crops'.....and let me know her unappreciation! (The downside of low attendance at a York meet.....but an upside to ensuring Social Distancing in a pandemic!).......(and NOT an intended response to the presentation at the time!)

I enjoyed the banter and the beer
Even though I was going to attend the actual April York, I thought TrainWorld did a great job with the virtual train show. Isn't it fun to see the "stars" of York talk about their upcoming surprises?
