Hi Guys

So my son got a Lionel Wabash loco with TMCC but it will not program.  It runs with sound and lights and smoke and goes forward and backward responding to the transformer in conventional mode but I cannot get it to accept a program number from the TMCC remote.  There is a switch on the tender and a switch on  the cab of the loco.  I do not have instructions on this loco so I do not know what the switches do.  On our other locos, the switch on the tender is usually to switch between Program and Run.  I thought maybe the switch on the cab was for smoke but no matter which way it is thrown, the smoke still comes out.  I should note that I can run the engine without the tender in conventional mode and that there is an electronics board in the engine as well as the one in the tender.  I'm guessing the one in the tender is the sound and the other is to control the engine?  Th engine came without instructions obviously and I haven't found any for it on the 'net yet.  Any help would be appreciated.  Catalog number is 6-18046 if that's a help.

Thanks

Roger Elliott

Here is a link to the instruction manual from Lionel’s web site:

Thanks RJ,  I found the manual and did as they instructed and still no response.  The engine just behaves as if it's in Conventional Mode.  I can't even power up the track without it moving on me.  Got sound and lights and movement but no TMCC.
