Water Falls, made from " streaking" CLEAR SILICONE caulking. I painted the Base first, then I take a short, STIFF " Acid Brush" and do DOWNWARD strokes, with the silicone, one direction only !

Beautiful.
Joe,
That looks great, and maybe a lot easier than some other waterfall construction methods. I'm a few weeks away from attempting my first waterfall, and I'd like to give your method a shot.
By any chance do you have any more photos (or videos) that you could share? I'd like to see how you textured the silicone. Was it still wet, or did you let it cure a bit before running the brush through it? I'm guessing that this required a few practice runs...
I used a Stiff, short-bristled, what the hardware stores call an " Acid-Brush," because their used for applying paste / liquid acids in " Soldering." The key, is STROKING the Silicone in a STRAIGHT, DOWNWARD motion. The only bit of " texturing," would be where the water falls, hits the rocks below. And even then, I just LIGHTLY POKE it. That's really, " it ."
Joe,
Thanks for the advice... I'm working on the mountain now, and hope to be starting on my waterfall in a few weeks. Silicone caulk is cheap, so I'll do a few practice runs. I'll post photos if it looks half as good as yours.
i'm sure, you'll do a fine job !!
