Been so busy since York that I have not been on the forum much until late last night and today.  I snapped a few updated shots of the water front scene this morning as the sun began to shine on the layout.  Hope you enjoy!!

Thanks for looking...

Alan

Thanks so much guys...and gal!!  I really appreciate the nice comments...always inspires me to get to work and do more...

Steve...that is in fact the Lionel lighthouse.  It is really neat to turn on the sounds very low and listen.  It gives the whole scene a different more realistic feel.

Paul...The tugs are the Lionel tugboats.  They have lights and sound and can be either battery or cord powered.

Thanks,

Alan

Pete....At first I was sorry that I put the clerestory windows in the train room because I realized I lost valuable wall space.  Then as the layout got built, I could see how natural light provided some interesting contrasts in the various scenes...just like being outside.  The side benefit is that during the day, I don't have to turn on the ceiling fixtures which helps with the cooling and electric bills.  The layout room is the size of a small house so this really helps....

Thanks guys...

Alan
