Hello All:
The GREENVILLE DEPOT FRIENDS are a very dedicated group of folks working hard to save the GREENVILLE JUNCTION DEPOT in Greenville, ME. This years first fundraiser is a raffle for an all brass WEAVER CANADIAN NATIONAL K5a. They will be showing the engine at this weekends Amherst Show at the BIG E (Mallary Building - Section #129) as well as raising money and awareness to help save the depot. A nicer group of folks you will likely never meet. They've asked I help post this here to make everyone aware of their ongoing efforts, the raffle and their presence at the Amherst show. As you can imagine - fundraising is an uphill battle.
To learn more about the Depot as well as the raffle details please take a moment to check out their website... http://greenvilledepot.org
Tickets are $5.00 each or three (3) for $10.00. ALL OF THE MONEY RAISED GOES TO THE DEPOT. They've already purchased the depot proper - but now they need PHASE 2 FUNDING to get it stable enough to move. I was actually there this past summer and it is truly a unique piece of railroad history.
Thank you all - hope you can stop by their booth or purchase a ticket online.
