Hello folks. I had a couple of my troop train, original Weaver, trucks break as per cheap Chinese junk metal issues. Is there a replacement anywhere of a substitute that would renew my troop train car?

Atlas O has reissued or at least announced the cars They may have replacement trucks.
On a separate note, most of those cars went into express and baggage service and the real RRs had problems with them at speed and replaced them in passenger service anyway with regular 4 wheel passenger trucks.
so if you are running a troop train you probably want the replacements, but if converted cars in passenger trains as express or whatever, you could use other passenger trucks
You might try an inquiry to Atlas O. IIRC, they were offering replacement troop car chassis for failed Weaver cars, and may have the trucks as well. They are also currently selling new troop cars made from the old Weaver tooling.
Another option may be to try the Wanted-to-Buy forum here. Some members may have the failed Weaver chassis, but with still useable trucks.
These are Allied Full Cushion trucks. Yes, I would certainly hope that Atlas can provide them as separate sale to their re-releases of the troop cars to correct the zinc pest problem.
Moreso, I've been hoping they'll make these trucks available as an orderable retail package....they're excellent for converting boxcars to express service, as was a popular option among several of the long distance mail carriers of the 40's-50's.
