I had a scheduled operating session with my Rail Group Chicago buddies on Friday evening, 27-Sep. This was the third session where I have my upper level yard installed and fully functional. During the session, I was able to keep 12 people "working", and they did not get much arse time during the three hour session.
In the photo below, there are five people in this aisle perfoming the following jobs:
- Yardmaster, works the upper level yard (handles all of the paperwork for the yard, and yes, the individual doing this job LOVES writing out the switchlists for the yard crews).
- East end yard switch (upper level yard)
- Local industry switch. (upper level, presently working the Red Wing flour mill in Szezesniak Jct.)
- Extra 556 East, which is getting ready to depart the upper level yard.
- Extra 519 East, which is departing the passing track at Eldee, just west of the viaduct.
Below is Mark switching Red Wing Milling.
The next day I did a project that I've been putting off for about two months, and extended the LCL ramp in front of the crane by 20 scale feet.
Leaving Thursday for MinnRail; three days of operating sessions in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area.
Regards,
Jerry

All of these were on display at the Boxborough Massachusetts train show this weekend along with large collections of Maerklin and other 2 and 3 rail European HO for sale. We will also be at the upcoming Marlboro train show in December and the Amherst show at the Big E in January.
