It's time for WEEKEND PHOTO FUN!!!!

Here's a photo from last year when I changed my layout to winter.

Several years ago I bought 5 of MTH's Premier 4-4-0's. These have to be some of the most fun trains I have ever purchased. I wish I had 3 more to repaint/reletter.

I still have some pieces of PW Lionel I received for Christmas in the '50s.  It is amazing that anything survived 7 boys in the family.

Anyhoo...The Plasticville station was missing a few pieces so I crafted a replacement building side and platform, painted up a bit.  Ok.

Added people and some other items to the platform area - better.

Found some small lights at a GB show in VA Beach -- much better!

Last weekend the club set up at the 12th annual Asheville Train Show. This has matured into a very good show for this area and well-worth visiting.

200 vendor tables and 10 operating layouts. Quite a bit of 3 rail offered too.

Great facility across from the Asheville Regional Airport.

OMGosh, When you look at that cityscape, it is so cool. In just this shot alone, everything looks and feels exactly right - the spacing; configuration; tones and colors. It doesn't look forced into the space utilized; instead, it feels well planned and realistic. There is a whole lot of talent expressed via that shot, and I applaud every bit of it. Congratulations, NickB, on such a successful effort.

Love what you did here. I have a Matchbox Collector series PRR maint. truck that I did the same thing to but even went one step further. I replaced the plastic roof flasher with an LED one from Evans Designs. I need to go back and make more of my vehicles more dull to hang around!

Nick it's great to see you posting again, as and always the great shots of the layout simply blows me away my friend.

Nick B - I don't post very often anymore, but I just had to compliment you on your photos and layout. You have the awesome ability to create a big city look in a reasonable amount of space. Like Moonson says it just looks right, which we all know is not easy to do. Moonson is another great modeler that creates extremely realistic scenes.

I have seen so many layouts recently that have that "all track" look or every square inch has something in it. Yours looks realistic to me. Great job!
