I hope everyone is staying dry. We are washing away here in S.W. Virginia. If your stuck inside the good news is that Weekend Photo Fun is here to help you pass the time.

Thank you Scott. Keep all your Js above water!
Here in Richmond I continue my slow build of a Roanoke VA icon.....the Texas Tavern by River Leaf Models.
I hope to finish it on Sunday.

Haven't seen much subway coverage on the weekly photo fun thread in recent weeks so here are some shots I took during a Saturday excursion into Manhattan a few weeks ago. In the pictures, we see car types R-62, R-142, R-160 and R-46. I've also included pictures taken at several stations. The image of the Penguins can be found at the 5th Avenue station at 59th and 60th Streets adjacent to the Central Park Zoo.

The more I run and look at these new Lionel SD40's the more I like them. They did such a good job on them.
Scott thanks for this thread every week, always great to see what everyone comes up with.
Andre, the tin shop looks fantastic.
Sirt, marvelous weathering as usual. You have ait down to an art form.

Geez! And here in NJ we are burning up......literally.
Dug out my Lionel TMCC PRR J1a for some super power running on the test track. Alex_M on the forum upgraded it to 4-chuffs/rev, but the original smoke unit's output is mediocre. May put John's Super Chuffer in it. It is an impressive engine that needs a much larger loop to look good, so I guess I better get to work on the layout.
Last year I had the pleasure to participate in the LCCA Switching Tracks program. I had the #7 boxcar. I thought I would share a few photos of its visit here on my layout. Thank for looking and for
a larger view, right click the photo and it will open in another tab. Hope you all have a great day.
Our prayers go with people in Virginia and West Virginia hit by floods.
The Reading & Northern has restored two Budd RDC's (9166 and 9168) for excursions from Pottsville, PA. One goes down the former Reading Main Line to North Reading Yard; the other, to Port Clinton, then to Tamaqua on the Little Schuylkill Branch, and across the High Bridge at Hometown to Jim Thorpe Go here and click on "RDC Trips." Scroll down for the schedule. An artist from Kempton, PA, painted murals on the ceiling.
The trip down the Main Line is great for railfans. On the way down we toured the R&N offices and shops at Port Clinton. This was our guide's first experience with a group of railfans. She discovered it was like herding cats. She did her duties courteously and professionally, so I took her picture. On the way back we ran up the Little Schuylkill Branch to the Steam Shop. It's a big building in a tight space. It may inspire scenes on layouts. Inside, former GM&N 4-6-2 No. 425 is on the left. Reading T-1 4-8-4 No. 2102 is being restored for service next year. The DL&W "Edison" MU car on the right is being rebuilt as a private car

Rich and Team,
I have both of thenew BN SD40's as well and I think Lionel hit a homer with these. I ran them new BNSF ES44 on the head end. Looked and ran great, should have had smart phone with me. Will make a special trip to the NJ HiRailers and get some video. I am actively looking for the Conrail versions to compliment some CSX / NS shared asset engines.
They are really fantastic.

They are not really sure. One person believes the mulch auto ignited, which I have seen happen, but I'm not really sure at this point. That fire was hot though. This is what the side of the house looks like.
Its Friday, the moonlight shines down on the delivery truck as the boys grab a meter for a cocktail at O'Gradys.
The lady in front of the barber shop may be waiting for a cab.
(She'll be waiting awhile as I havent aquired any autos yet, thus the reason for the truck used for the photo)
It's been quiet a eventful day here in the U.K.
So it's time to crack open a cold one and turn off the TV news. And go run some trains
Here's a pic of LNER A4 Bittern when it passed near our village on a main line excursion.
Have a good weekend

Yikes! So long as you two are OK and that's the worst of it which is bad enough! My money would be on the mulch. It happened to me at work one night weird how it happens.
Happy Friday!! As seen at Chicago union station tonight. Some people are going to enjoy a cool trip.
Here is a video i did tonight!!
Happy Friday! The future is looking bright for our freight station and with the cost nearly reached, the Raritan River Chapter of the NRHS (say that five times fast) will be ready to move this piece of NJ history within the next year.
Just some shots from the last week or so. My pal's High Iron K4, one of Lucas' 3RS models he brought over to run last Sunday, and a little junkyard I tucked into Beercan Hollow.
