Here's a neat little Summer project.

A friend of mine is an big fan of the Cass Scenic RR here in WV.  He wanted some excursion cars to pull behind a recently acquired Shay.  Here's what we came up with.  A set of MTH Overton passenger cars was the donor.

They may not be exact but IMHO I think the overall effect was pretty good.

If you're interested in a step-by-step, I've put them on my website.

Have a great weekend.

Last weekend we built a nice wall cabinet for the TV and some books. My wife really likes her Blue Comet so it now sits atop the new structure. In our downsizing effort, she's offering her pair of NS Dash 9's for sale and has one of them displayed (on shelf to the left) until they depart.

I had one of those. This is what I did with the tractor by adding a dump body from Berkshire Valley.

And this is what I did with the tank trailer. The tractor is an Ertl 48 Diamond T from e-bay

Motor9

Those Ertl semi tractors were available separately or with trailers or van or tank bodies.. Also available were A 1950 Chevy COE a 60 Chevy and a 47 International.
