IT'S TIME FOR WEEKEND PHOTO FUN!!!

I was looking through some of my old train photo's last night and came across these I took when I converted my layout to a Winter scene. I thought it looked neat; however I am still finding the residue snow 3 years later.

Thanks to Forum member Captain John, I was able to add this Del's Lemonade truck to me layout. If you lived in Rhode Island at anytime, you would recognize this product as it is a local favorite.

One of my job transfers took me to San Jose, and to my surprise, there was a Del's Lemonade truck at a fair in Pleasanton.

So Captain John, this has special meaning and thank you again for your generous gift. You will see it in September at our summer outing.

"residue snow"? Just say it is residual ash from Mount St Helens, or Krakatoa or Mount Vesuvius or ...

(Nice work and pictures.)

A Grandt Line water spout plus nuts and washers are in my Sweetwater Spring Tank’s future.  The milk cans will be rusty counter weights.  After snapping this photo I noticed just how wrong the rear of my ‘31 Chevy truck looks.  So, work needed there too--might be good spot for old high school mascot sign.

Nice shots guys.

SC club member Larry visited last Sunday with his MTH Southern SD24 and a coal drag to run on the club layout.

Larry runs Southern, Seaboard, Atlantic Coast Line, and a few select others from areas of his growing up. Almost all MTH premiere and will be learning DCS soon!

CNJ had a small fleet of these.

Yellow reefers often changed to an orange color from the road elements.

History –

One shipper that used these cars was the Ballantine Brewery in Newark NJ.  An insulated box car could be pre-chilled at the plant, loaded with a chilled canned or barreled beer which could stay cool for up to a week in transit. These cars also appeared at the Campbell Soup plant in Camden NJ.

This looks great! It's funny a month ago I mentioned here on a Divco truck post that I wish I had a Dels Divco. Bennie ,another RI institution had Del truck ornaments for sale one year but it was a little too big. Yours looks great though.

A few last photos of a horse in need of a new stable. See the For Sale Forum if interested.

A few photos from A Day out with Thomas at the Illinois Railway Museum. As always, the folks at the museum did a first rate job moving so many people through in a well organized and fun way.

All is peaceful in the fictional little town of Caprock, Texas.  Uncle Bob the Yardmaster has sent Taggart and the 101 yard crew to go out to the edge of town and pull a reefer from Buethe Meat Packing.  Bob Muller has Alco-GE S2 2357 chugging and whistling softly, as they make their way over to the Caprock Industrial Spur switch.  They'll return with a complimentary box of ribeye steaks in the cab.  Buethe always gets good service!
