I picked up my first MTH Premier Line cars today. I'm really happy with them and I think there will be more added to my roster in the future.

The other day I had to replace the traction tires on old #4611. Well this morning #4611 with three crewman in the cab was back to work on the MARS! Here's a shot of her as she steamed by my trackside location.

Fawlty Towers was one of the funniest shows ever.

As I've mentioned before, we often let kids run our trains at the club. This is because, unlike us, they actually pay attention to what they're doing. Here, a couple of "regulars" -- Justin, age 6 and Jaden age 7 -- operate trains down at the club. Later, I had Jaden running my CNW H1 under TMCC using my spare Android phone.

Steinway car ready to depart the Woodside LIRR & IRT El Stations at 61st Street for a run west to Queensborough Plaza in Long Island City.
Looking past Sunnyside where the trains enter the tunnels to go under the East River and reach their termination at Grand Central Station. Gotham is just getting under construction, and it will occupy a platform 12' x 4' platform at the far wend of this picture.

Wow! I had one of these as a child. It brings back many memories. My brother and me were just talking about the one I had as a child. Nice sounding horn! Thanks for sharing.

I agree one of the funniest shows ever, I can watch it at anytime. Today's shows can't come close to Fawlty Towers.
Here's another photo I shot off quickly last evening with my i phone. A set of F-7's rumble over Sherman's Creek Bridge at Duncannon. View tower is in the distance. Note the line poles loaded with crossarms as was typical of the PRR...
neal: i check out this topic every week now ,just to see what you post on your layout. i wanted to ask ,looks like some gargraves or ross track is mixed in at the interlockings. i assume its because you have ross switches at these locations. i noticed at view tower and photo's at east altoona. i was going to do the same thing, but couldn't get past the difference in the ties and rail.maybe its not an issue once the track is ballasted .what do you use for stone?-jim
Back from the Grandmuffin's birthday, I can post something.... How about this MTH Premier FF-2 and Lionel's Alton Limited?.... For a bigger version of the shot, just click it!
While I was looking through some shots before heading off to bed, I found this one I don't think I have ever shared..... It's an MTH Premier Greenbrier up on some SilkCity girder bridges.... having just come off an Atlas O bridge.... The big black bridge in the back is by Bridge Boss..... Thanks.
Steve, love your girder bridges by Silk City. The coloring is just right.
Perry, your "fire season" burned out building is awesome.
Labor Day.... still the weekend right?
The yard at the end of the bridges is busy today!
Thanks for a fellow forumite.... the queue is long for the new Ferris Wheel!
They need to hurry up and get the girders up on that overhead rail! (I'm getting to it as soon as I figure out how I want to do it)

Jim,
Most of the track on my layout is Atlas O. However, View interlocking was the first section of the layout to be built (around 1999). At that time, Atlas O did not have their 7.5 and 5 turnouts available, so I went with Ross # 8's which are an excellent product. In order to maintain a uniform appearance within the interlocking, I used nothing but Gargraves track in this area. I did the same thing at the curved yard throat at East Altoona as well since Ross had some great O-120/96 curved turnouts. Nothing similar was available from Atlas.
The ballast consists of roofing granules, the particular variety that I use coming with two shades of gray.
