Thanks Dave!!
My contribution this week is Conrail GP30 2224 as modeled by Atlas in N scale.
Conrail rostered eighty-two GP30s numbered 2168 through 2249. 2168-2187 were former Reading and 2188-2249 ex-Penn Central units. There was typically a heavy concentration of GP30s in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey so we saw them frequently in the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas. A regular assignment for GP30s was train A-2/A-1, a turn operating out of Morrisville Yard at the east end of the former PRR Trenton Cutoff via the Northeast Corridor and Amboy Secondary to Browns Yard in Old Bridge. This job had been held down by the 4977, the last operating former New Haven EP-5. GP30s soon found a home on the run after the 4977 was retired early in 1977. The GP30s gave Conrail excellent service with some units lasting into the '90s.
Pictured below are images of Atlas' model of the 2224 along with the real thing in Philadelphia in '83.

Bob nice engine always liked the CR blue!
Blurry blasts from the past. In 1984 I was building a railroad in my parents basement for my apartment.
At 2' x 10', it was designed to fit over the dresser in my bedroom. I called it the Olympia Railway, supposedly representing Washington state.
Based on the Gum Stump and Snowshoe from Model Railroader, track was mostly code 83, except for a two track mainline was code 100.
It was designed with the idea of incorporating it into a larger layout someday.
While fully operational, I got as far as roughing in the scenery before "life happened," enabling me to make the move into S.
All was not totally lost. A friend of a friend managed a hobby shop and I traded it in for a pair of American Models FP7's and some other stuff. A shop employee took the Olympia under his wing and completed the scenery. The layout served as the shops test track

Thanks Bob!
This weeks submission is of a couple of more 1959 era Tyco sets.
They are both the same... one was purchased at a train show and is missing the track
and the other was a surprise ebay win that I bid on just to keep track of it to see the final price....it actually cost more to ship than the final price !
Here is a video of the first set running right after I received it...
