It's time for Weekend Photo Fun!!
Last Wednesday was the final day for the VMT Pirates layout.
Now we are putting in the Halloween layout, still a work in progress.
Let's see your pictures.

Christopher2035 posted:A few new engines on the track for this week - The N&W Heritage unit & the NS OCS. MTH did an awesome job with the glossy paint on the NS F7s. They look really sharp!

This photograph was inspired by the Sunset Limited, a Southern Pacific name train popular 120 or so years ago. The locomotive is a 3rd Rail model and, to my eyes, a joy to look at.
Here is a picture of my recently repainted MTH Royal Hudson shown with a 3rd rail K1a and Weaver H1b.
And a few vids
happy weekend All
Nothing really new this week, unless one considers that I finally upgraded the firmware on my DCS wifi unit and am loving running trains on my iPad.
This shows some pics of my 1993-2003 layout when I was trying to create a city with Kenner Girder & Panel Buildings sets, and Plasticville and K-Line buildings. Korber was out there, but I didn't want all factories and industrial.
The bar really was raised by the OGR Buildings Unlimited series and Walthers Cornerstone kits in O scale.
Here is the same area about 5 or so years later...also with a better camera!

This was the best Summer ever for steam train rides.I try to see at least one live steam engine every Summer. This year I was lucky enough to see four of them. The N & W 611,the Nickel Plate 765 Joliet Rocket, the 1630 Frisco at the Illinois Railway Museum and many more at the Hesston Steam Museum.
A new arrival from the far side of the Mississippi on my railroad. She is brand new with PS2! Operation right out of the box is excellent.
This is the MTH Rail King version of the Union Pacific's M10000 City of Salinas. The grille on the nose needs some darkening with black or gray paint to highlight its details.
I think the paint scheme on this model replicates what the M10000 wore at the end of her service in 1945.
Additions of passengers, crew figures, LED classification lights and LED rear marker lights will bring this train set up to MTH's "Imperial" standards. The existing incandescent lighting will be upgraded to warm white LEDs.

Had a mishap leaving the yard within sight of the wreck crane, but it also blocked the crane in the yard, so it couldn't help.
