Electric locomotives are very common on my toy train layout.
Just got 11x HOn2 wagons which are great for the mine and coal depot as it runs on "N" gauge track.

G&O News - The G&O is a garden railroad in San Leandro, CA (SF Bay Area). It consists of both G gauge and O gauge 3-rail lines.
The O gauge line around Couple Mountain was opened this week. The first train running around Coupler Curve is shown in the following pictures. The engine is a Lionel Legacy GP.
Forest fires are a fact of life in CA. The Thunder Mountain Lodge was a total loss as shown in the following photos. The O gauge mountain line runs directly in front of the lodge. The lodge's front porch was a favorite place for train fans to sit and watch the action.
We expect that the lodge will be rebuilt sometime in the future.
The G&O will be hosting a train show next weekend, Saturday December 1 and Sunday, December 2. All forum members are invited.

While visiting family this week for Thanksgiving, was able to make it down to the Massillon O Gauge Club open house last Saturday, and then again on Tuesday afternoon. Here is a shot of my Dad's W&LE 0-6-0 on the club layout. This was the first time he got to run it with DCS. Many thanks to the club and firemanchris for the invite to visit the club!

The Range Rover is stuck in the mud! And before any women say "why was SHE driving when it got stuck?!?!". Well its a GB right hand drive so it was him!
Thanks to the Casey Jones Club layout for the idea.... I built a custom boardwalk area on my layout.
I ran out of storage room so I put in four shelves that are three cars deep! I'm going to add one 2x4 on the second line of cars, and stack two more for the back row, and add track to all three levels on each shelf in the coming week!
So I saw a thread on "The Generals and how disappointed people where".... and I got mine and immediately took it apart and started detailing the wood pile, repainted the plastic looking brass with metal paint, painted around the windows (yes it needs another coat), and will soon finish off with blackening the areas between the spokes on the wheels. It looks pretty good with a little customization!

Easiest build ever. The main goal was to have as much up front and in the open staging as possible in order to have as many pieces of rolling stock in view as possible. Almost no scenery and easy wiring - between the 2 it made it a WAY easier build.

Wow, Walt! That layout sings of happy times for all to enjoy! I see the family homesteads up there on the plateau, and I can just about hear the joyous song of all those trains a-runnin' simultaneously. What a wonderful job you did. I can see you like and know how to play.

Thanks Frank! Yes, it's a LOT of fun to run. With 6 staging tracks on the lower level and 2 main lines, it's fun swapping trains. and with the 2 mains connected it's fun too to have the change mains and not wreck!
Something tells me when visitors get their hands on the remotes that that 'wreck' word will be one that keeps me tense the whole time!
I did try to simplify options by having all 8 trains running the same direction. Originally I had it 4 and 4 and I kept wrecking, so I know that visitors would for sure too.
