So Dave, I had to move some buildings around and here is what I came up with. The flats are in the only place they will fit between the track and a flat wall.

Hi John, if your talking about the brown wall it is made out of 1/8" plexiglass. The other is made out of 1/8 paneling with the strip glued onto it.
Just getting started on "train stuff" today but this is what I just finished up with. It's getting about that time, for many, where these are not going to be needed as much. Taking a look at my last bill you would know it's not quite over yet...

I just received these 4 automobiles from the 50's with the exception of the Merc which is a '49 today. Unfortunately they are all 1/43 scale as 1/48 scale are hard to find and limited in offerings. One of the drawbacks of O-Gauge model railroads I suppose!
From left to right: 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria, 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, 1949 Mercury Custom Coupe with side pipes. Now I need to find a few places on my layout. I think I'll put the Merc at Miss Molly's Diner, perfect hang out!

Been painting my track cleaning car. I've put three coats on the body so far. I'll look at it today and see if it needs more. I've been painting the piping separately and they are just about done too. I could start final assembly if the paint looks good.

WesternPacific2217 If you put them by their lonesome you can get away with it and no one would think otherwise or with another 1/43 car. However if you put them next to a 1/48 th you are going to get questions !

Scott. JP right just put them in the distance works for me here’s a 1/48 truck with some big 1/43 cars it can also work the other way your 1/43 vehicles in front and your 1/48 vehicles in the back hope my pics help

Lee is right, placement of differing scales is the key. I just have mine setting about on imaginary streets, just to get them out of the Menards boxes I kept them in so I could use the Menards boxes for a raised level on my shelves. See the Menards boxcars, etc.

Lee, yes they are Menards! Thank you. Yes the shelves came with the family room. Since it didn’t work out using the family room for my layout, my wife cleared the shelves above her desk last spring and offers them for trains. I certainly could use the display space.

Scott, the cars look great there. I have two '49 Mercs. Both are dark red, but different shades.

For your viewing pleasure. I think it's done, the paint looks good IMHO. I might give the pipes a light sanding to get rid of some of the bumps and then paint them one more time.

Mostly eBay and a Hobby Shop in St. Louis that sells a lot of second hand stuff. Thanks for asking I hope this helps.

After spending a 12 hour day of repair or cleaning at my daughter’s house, all I get now is a thanks dad. But I get to bring my grandson home with me sometimes… That’s okay too. Hopefully your daughters give you a big hug for working on their car☺️
I shopped the Die house Direct like you recommended Lee and found the exact 1948, 1:50 scale Greyhound bus that I wished for. Expensive but it’s passed the CEO’s inspection and an OK. Will look wonderful in front of the bus station next week.
I listened in the train room tonight to the Wildcats escape a good Mizzou team. I’m glad they didn’t have another possession of the pigskin.. Cats 35-28…

Not really John. It’s hard to keep this one at a slow pace where I was shooting the video.
I got a big thank you for working on her car but I wasn’t expecting that I just love I can still help her that’s what dads do. She’s 21 and it won’t be long she’ll be on her own and my time seeing her will be Limited do to her busy life so I cherish moments like yesterday when she needs Daddy to help her. It was a fun day with her helping me fix her car. I show her things to do on the car so she doesn’t have to depend on a man to help her also. I’ve tried to raise my Girls where there independent.
That car looks really great Bob. It is going to be an outstanding operational showpiece.

Well guys nothing new from me this weekend as the wife has had me driving all over the place looking at used Travel Trailers. I am so done looking I am going to have to take a week off and maybe hide in the train room. I don't think I will get anything done today either as I have 3 trees to still take down for future Travel Trailer parking! LOL

Those are AC units, but there are vents attached to them and they will go on a roof. I'll give you an A-, lol.

Completed the MTH flat that I got from my son-in-law. The car was in a box of trains he recently purchased. It was a thank you gift for the track, switches and transformer I gave him to enjoy with his grand-son (our first great grand-son). The car is washed and primed but I may need to work on the color tone while awaiting the arrival of decals.
Dave, you referenced a "kid with a new toy", did you print the AC units with a new 3-D printer?
