The wife and I have spent some time on Hood Canal. Stayed in a houseboat a couple times. Fun area to visit.
Mike G. - Somewhere out there on the peninsula is a place where we stayed in a caboose and ate our meals in a dining car.

Vinnie's Boats and Bait is open for business!
I was noodling about in OpenOffice and came up with this. Feel free to use!

Nice ride John. I wanna go again too!

Wow, beautiful work and well implemented video!

Dave, I will have to see if I can find that place! Sounds like a cool place to visit!
Mike, I just checked with the Wife and she says the place with the trains was in Sequim. Not sure if it is still there, but I hope so. It was a fun place.
Got the tree up so I could get the track under the tree, this year I wired it for conventional so I have more options to run under the tree. I bought a new Santa speeder to run there! Right now just usual Thomas to test it out.
Love those black and white photos. They give a very vintage look.

Very nice.
Is that a kit? If so who made it? I'm looking to upgrade my yard tower and that looks great.
Yes, it's a kit by LASERkit. Bought it from MicroMark for $43.00. It came with peel & stick windows and doors made from thin cardboard. I didn't like 'em. So, I replaced them with Tichy plastic molded ones. Gave it much more depth. But, it did require some re-engineering on the kit. Took much longer to build than I expected but it turned out OK.
Tis the season Mike.
Not 3 rail today. Worked on my 2 rail shelf layout. First attempt i tried to put 10 lbs into a 5 lb space. Changed this to a modified inglenook, only 8 ft long but i get to operate my one atlas switcher. Unfortunately my ancient cordless dremel tool battery has failed so no further trackwork today. Dremel doesn't support the battery so time to shop for a new tool.

Thank you. I'll look into this. It looks great.

I installed Gunrunner John’s Universal mp3 sound board today. I have it triggered through a momentary port on my SC2. Now I can push a button on my LCS iPad and it triggers the announcement I recorded, and it sounds fantastic. I highly recommend this board if your looking for station announcements or anything else. Trust me this thing works great.
I moved my PRR 0-4-0 consist out of harms way (don't ask). Otherwise layout time as been a big goose-egg!
@necrails- 2-rail shelf layout? Do tell.....pix to share?

Looks great. I like the opposite color combination.

Hey, Mick, I like that Atlas July 4th car. I just put mine on the rails today to make sure it works. Thought it did not -- but, duh, turned the switch on. What a beautiful car, especially when you power it up.

Everyone has great projects! I like the signal towers!
I ran my fairly new RailKing B&O SD9 after doing some test fitting for the lower tracks and a completely rebuilt high line.

Beautiful engine Mark, & those boxcars deserve a trip to Boxcar Sunday.

Thank you, Dave! They are my favorite boxcars. I haven’t seen Boxcar Sunday. I’ll have to look!
Well, lower loop is taking shape. Upper loop - not so much, lol. Will most likely move a few things around before nailing them down. I’ve actually gotten most of my ‘action’ items to fit. Some are just too large, or too messy - like the coal items. I can reach everything too - so that’s a big plus (step stool helps, lol). Have to finish up Mount St Susan and cut in the Nicole River and Lake Birdly. Then I’ll squeeze the town in what’s left.

I bet the folks in Buffalo wish they could get rid of snow that quickly.
Nice to see the FSJR restored back to its original beauty (not that the snow wasn't too).

Wow! How did you remove snow?
@rdg_fan posted:Wow! How did you remove snow?
I first scooped up snow that could be saved and put it in a plastic container. Then I came along with my shop vac, using a crevice tool, and sucked up the rest. It took several hours to clean up and reset both scenes to fall. I'm happy to report that with the removal of the snow, the Mountain Division is now back to operable condition. Both of the lower main lines are still inoperable but hopefully with some time over the Thanksgiving break I will have trains running on both main lines again.

Thanks Bob! Yes it's nice to have the fall look back again on the layout. I had great fun in re- creating those scenes.
As for Buffalo and their HUGE snow storm .... I'd be happy to loan them my ShopVac ...
Morning guys, I hope your all doing well. Sure has been some nice things going on here!
@Mark Boyce Smooth running trains! Means great track work and everything looks great!
@DrSteveDC Steve WOW your moving along at record pace! Everything is really coming together and looking good!
@p51 Lee nice work on the layout room! I have to say I really like the new location of your new work station!
@trumpettrain Patrick what great work, I could really go without snow this year and not be heartbroken! I don't think your shop vac is big enough for Buffalo, but it is a great jester!
As for me nothing new, just trying to take a little time to keep up to speed here!
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and get a chance to enjoy time with your family!
OH Don't forget to try and squeeze in some layout and train fun!
Nice progress everyone! I enjoyed the pictures and watching the videos!
