I finally received a reply from mth re my question on the cataloged Conrail bicentennial GP 38 #7776.The picture shows an incorrect lite Conrail blue instead of a baby/ american flag blue that the unit was painted.

I emailed mth to verify the blue being used. Their response was they are using a Boston & Maine blue? What is that blue?

This is an MTH diesel in Boston & Maine blue.
Well, the answer is somewhat subjective, but I think you can get an idea by looking at it from MTH's perspective.
Also, the contemporary B&M blue seems to be closer to Conrail blue than the historic B&M blue.

Using the B&M/Conrail blue is rediculous. Even the B&M "minuteman" gp38 used the same American Flag Blue colors!
