What train magazines do you get?

OGR and CTT.

I get both CTT and OGR. IMO I think the magazine title can be misleading, theres plenty of modern scale stuff in CTT just the same as there are always postwar/toy articles in OGR.

I've been told I subscribe to way too many train magazines, toys and models included.

Subscribe to OGR and CTT.  Also the TCA literature via my membership if that counts.

I'll occasionally pick up other magazines at the bookstore, but it's probably less than a couple dozen over the years.  (bought the GCT special Trains issue earlier this year, maybe an OST or The Railroad Press)

Model Rail is a UK publication, and consistently displays the finest layouts and modeling techniques I've come across. I think it's the finest model railroading magazine available today.

CTT only.  Sorry OGR doesn't do it for me.  I like toy and postwar trains.  OGR features way too much scale and hi-rail for me.

I like to pick up the "Cow Catcher" free at my local hobby shop.  Its a locally-focused free magazine covering all scales, plus rail-fanning in Texas and the neighboring states.

I get the mags from TCA, LCCA & LOTS.

I purchase Trains or Classic Trains when I see something I like.

OGR, Classic Trains, and the publications that come from TCA and TTOS. I dropped CTT a few years ago, but still buy the bound volumes once a year.

I have every issue of CTT in bound volumes and every issue of OGR in bound volumes from the time the Biggars bought the magazine until OGR discontinued offering bound volumes.

I was very disappointed when OGR stopped offering bound volumes. I saved individual copies of OGR for years with the intent of having a local bookbinder make some up, but the piles got too high and I delivered them to the mall display that TTOS has here in the Bay Area. Lots of local folks get to read my used copies of train mags.

Volumes on DVD just don't do it for me, but I like an actual book or magazine.

No longer do train magazine subscriptions.  Haven't for years.

Seldom buy a train magazine at the magazine rack... maybe one a year?  Don't know why.  Just the way it is now.

Oh well.

I only get OGR.  

I used to get CTT but I started to go more towards 3rs and OGR fits that more.  

I did just write and article for "Live Steam and Outdoor Railroading".  I do not do any outdoor railroading but the editor Neil was very interested in some photos of the 1225-765 Doubleheader trip I took back in 2009.

I was even lucky enough to get my photo published on the front cover!

Well, there is OGR and then that other one. The name slips my mind right now.....

My only subscription is to Diesel Era (what else) !   Anything else -  is bought on a per issue basis, based on personal value of content.....which 90% of the time is complete garbage, IMHO !!!!!

As for models, I get OGR digital, as well as the TCA and LCCA publications and Plasticville. For the prototype, I get Trains and First and Fastest (Shoreline Historical Society), and the publications of the Milwaukee Road and C&NW historical societies.

By the way, this is probably less than a third of the publications I was getting ten years ago.

I use to subscribe to CTT, but no longer now. Rates too high and thanks very much to this forum, I seem to get all I want to know of the hobby right here.

OGR due to its excellent articles on "how to".

Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette due to it's incredible scale detail.

Trains due to my love of railroading and their great stories and modern day trends on all the active RRs' in the USA.

Just OGR. I used to get Railroad Model Craftsman Back in my HO days. I grabed a copy and the copy I  picked  was July 1998.

I used to get OGR, CTT, MR and Trains, and was a member of TCA and NMRA. Then came the cancer, and I dropped everything. I re-joined the NMRA, but without their magazine. I have enough paper to last 3 lifetimes, and enough ideas to keep me busy for the rest of this one.

I get OGR,CTT,Classic Trains,TCA Quarterly,LCCA Lion Roars,TTOS The Bulletin,I think OGR is best for the High Rail People.

I get 2, OGR and that other one that has 3 letters, starts with C, ends with T, and it's Not a Cat magazine! They both has interesting articles, info, and pictures, but I do prefer OGR the best, as with the forums, I'll check out the Yahoo Fastrack and CCT forums but this is the best one of all here at OGR!

I subscribe to CTT and also receive in the mail the member publication for TCS and LCCA (and Lionel's own club too.)

I also thoroughly enjoy and find invaluable the issues of OGR that I always and regularly buy at Barnes and Noble and if OGR ever starts accepting subscriptions via check or money order through the mail, I will likewise subscribe to it as I have with the other aforementioned publications.

From club or society memberships I get The Soo, The Lion Roars, and Inside Track.

I buy every issue of O Scale Trains.

On occasion I'll buy RMC, MR,  Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette, and Live Steam.

I also read all my friend's copies of S Gaugian.

And my relatives in Germany send me occasional copies of various model rr magazines from there.
