CTT & OGR
O Gauge Railroading, Trains, Railroads Illustrated and The Eagle,(Missouri Pacific Historical Society mag).
I used to be more railfan oriented, but with gas prices and work seldom get trackside except at work!
Dan
I subscribe to OGR and CTT. Even though I like scale stuff, I have never met a toy train I didn't like, so I feel that both mags complement each other nicely.
I will occasionally pick up MR, Trains or Classic Trains if there are articles or subjects in them that interest me.
I also get the club mags, and I really enjoy the TCA quarterly, as I am interested in the history of toy trains as well.
Andy
OGR, CTT, and – to be perfectly honest – my favorite, Classic Trains. Also get the TCA and LCCA pubs.
OGR, CTT, and my fave as well, Classic Trains
If by "get" you mean subscribe to - none.
However, I buy most every issue of CTT and OGR, and on occasion Model Railroading also. But I do so at the local B&N, which always carries them. I love to just go browse every Sunday and its always nice to have a bit of anticipation - will there bea new train magazine waiting for me?
Don't subscribe to anything anymore. Will use this as an excuse to frequent the Model Railroad Shop to purchase ORG and perhaps something else. If you don't generate some business for the local shop, someday it will not be there.
I generate plenty of business for the local shop!
I still subscribe to OGR. OGR does a far superior job of maintaining the interest of their readers and online forum members than does CTT. That is precisely why I let my membership lapse of CTT. I am an active member of the Train Collectors Association and I get a quarterly issue of their magazine.

OGR & CTT
OGR & CTT. I prefer OGR as CTT has too many articles on postwar and conventional stuff for me (not one of my interests) although I do read most of their articles about it.
If my LHS has any old unsold copies of magazines left over, they will give me the old copies. From those, I have recently been enjoying Garden Railways and Trains. Garden Railways seems to have a lot of electronics how-to articles that I find interesting (mostly DCC but still interesting) and you can't beat reading about the real thing!
Those two may be added to the subscription list someday.
I read OGR, CTT, Trains Magazine, TCA & LCCA publications.

OGR and CTT....

Similarly to Lee, I buy OGR, CTT - and British Railway Modeling and Railway Modeler from our local Barnes and Noble.
I was subscribing to both OGR and CTT but have let my subscriptions run out (way too much going on this summer),but plan on renewing ,I like both equally .
Colorado Railroad Museum Quarterly
OGR
Classic Trains
Matt
Matt, you and me both. I got CTT from issue one and loved it for years but how many articles can you read about 50's trains? I'm more of a scale guy so OGR really worked for me. I get a little of both. Scale and early Lionel. Fits me to a tee.
Matt, Vicky and I miss you both, when you coming over? Don
Railroad Model Craftsman, Trains, Classic Trains, The Milwaukee Roader and the two annuals from Model Railroader, Great Model Railroads and Model Railroad Planning, plus any annuals Classic Trains offers.
OGR and CTT.If you count club mags,I get the TCA,LCCA and LRRC literature.
I used to g RMC and Light Iron Digest, but haven't susccribed to any for several years. Spend too much time on the internet to read magazines! LOL
OGR & CTT
I get Trains & Classic Trains. At one time I also got OGR & CTT. I don't have enough time to read all the magazines these days. I'm thinking about just going down to Classic Trains - 4 times a year & I've liked pretty much every issue
Here's my rundown:
- Subscribe to OGR, Digital Edition. It allows me quick reference to material on my laptop.
- Occasionally pick up Model Railroader when there's an article of interest, though I may buy their historical archive set since the early years were O scale focused.
- Less Occasionally pick up Model Rail. UK Publication Has great modeling. Focus tends to center around OO, H.O. and some N Scale with the occasional O Scale article. The Brits have taken small space layouts to a high art form. If it was available via digital subscription I'd probably subscribe.
- Rarely buy CTT.
Okay, the usual OGR and CTT. I spend more time reading OGR because it is more aligned with my interests. Add an occasional O Scale Trains. Lastly, Model Railroad Hobbyist which is a free downloadable magazine -- mainly HO and N but good articles on model building and scenery.
Jan
OGR in print and digital, Lion Roars and LCCA all in print.
I currently don't have any subscriptions. A couple of reasons, 1) if I want to see photos of layouts, I can do that on the internet, 2) my interest has migrated to scale trains and often there are not many articles about scale model trains.
I do try to stop by the bookstore at least monthly and take a quick look at the different magazines. My favorite articles are the "how-to" articles and if I see a how-to that interests me, I will buy the magazine!
Jim
OGR. Print and Digital.
None. I haven't touched a current paper magazine in years. I do download the latest RAILBRICKS when it comes out. I just haven't had the time or money to get any magazine of any type, not just trains.
I subscribed to Model Railroader from 2001-2005. Once or twice a year lately, I've picked up the issue of the month, plus the special offer (from Wal-Mart, of all places ). When my high school dumped a lot of their old archived magazines, I was fortunate enough to pick up every MR issue they had before the date I subscribed. Good thing I had a tuba locker!!!
I'm kind of ashamed to say that I only have two issues of Classic Toy Trains and only one issue of O Gauge Railroading. Nevertheless, I read through them quite often. I would love to subscribe to either one, but I have no idea where I would put them. There is a lot of material in MR that I find can be transferrable to O gauge trains, and, believe it or not, I even take ideas from CTT and OGR and ponder ways to apply it to HO scale.
I have noticed that I tend to spend a lot more money on railroad literature (books, DVDs, etc.) and much less on the actual models and other layout materials. I would like to reverse that trend.
Aaron
I get CTT, OGR along with materials from both the TCA & LCCA.
This has been asked before, too....: Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette, OGR, and,
less and less interesting CTT, who I think is too constrained by its title. I used to subscribe to RMC, and belong to 3 clubs...now just TCA. I did pick up one O scale
magazine, but am not sure it is still published. I do pick up another one, but it is not found locally so that is just occasionally.
