What train Related Gift Do You Want Santa To Bring You?

A really talented layout builder who can finish my benchwork and paint beautiful murals to match my theme!  Wouldn't hurt if, as he walked through the door, he also was clutching a modified brass big boy and tender that had legacy electronics..

GOOD LUCK on getting Legacy!!  Lionel is now saying the #990 Legacy Set will not be available until January, maybe even February!! They had problems with the Providers components meeting "LIONEL" Standards!!

I honestly can't say there's anything train-related that I want, although I wouldn't be disappointed if the MTH Climax set I ordered comes in sometime before Christmas Eve.  Other than that, I'm pretty much good for the next 30 years of so in terms of train stuff.

Nobody makes any of them, but if they, did, they'd be too expensive to receive as a

gift, and I'd (have to) buy it myself.

I am in the prosses of buying off the forum here three items. One is a vision line up genset switcher, a santa fe tmcc crane and boom car, then I could not pass up a lionel 60' aluminum passenger set with a station sounds dinner.
Guess santa is going to be comming early to my house this year. I can't wait to get the cash to the sellers and get my goodies!

How about some K-Line 21" Sante Fe Hi-Levels.

I'll settle for a GGD Pullman 8-1-2 in two or three rail...PRR paint!  Sound good?  It is !

I would like anything that Santa would bring me. I have not asked for anything so a surprise would be nice.

A tin plate set...

A 3D printer and a 3D scanner so I can make a Seaboard System BQ cab and some Canadian cabs for some P&W engines. The scanner so I can scale up some HO things I want.

Oh yeah, and a set of 3 Lionel Ethanol tank cars, with sound.

Well, my 18 pre-ordered military cars would make my Christmas day. If Lionel ever sends them to Charlie??????????

I would really like the passenger cars to go with this beauty.

Santa does not have to bring me anything: I ordered it all myself.  

 

It would be nice if MTH shipped the UP propane turbine and the PRR S-1 I've ordered in time for Christmas, but it probably won't happen.

I like for Santa to bring me the lionel legacy C&O GP35 engine. 

Courage to experiment on some scenery, I have buildings. electrical poles, cars, trucks, oil derricks, trains but NO roads, tunnels, mountains, rivers etc.

The list of actual trains that I want is actually quite small, but the first and biggest item I want is the Lionel Conventional Classics Berkshire Freight Set.

Completed design of new layout and benchwork (or Miannes) so I can get started!

I asked Santa for a Legacy 990 set, but he said no just like the last two Chritsmases. I asked for a Lionel REA Tractor-trailer, he said no last year, maybe this one. So I asked for a Lionel MKT Legacy pick-up truck, 2-6-6-2 USRA Mallet, and a cop chasing hobo gondola, and he said OK. He also said he would bring me a couple of used Lionel 603 Tinplate passenger cars  

I know this is blasphemy, but I'm pretty well set right now.

Mrs Claus went to Nicholas Smith to get the Lionel Silver Bells set for our Goddaughter, but an elf told me she also had an ulterior motive .....

 

$599 at Nicholas Smith, but dang thats alot of money for a diesel. Thanks, babe.

 

 

After a long and much worth wait, I'm really hoping for MTH's new Blue Comet.

finding this under the tree woud make my year.

 

 

A bundle of $20 bills would be nice but if all else fails some Ross track and switches will do. 

My want list is now under 10 items (not counting my ordered items) and none of them are expensive. Hopefully Lionel will ship one of the sets that I have on order before Christmas.

 

I was lucky a couple of weeks ago I did get Legacy #990 off the bay and I'm sending off to Lionel today to have it updated since it is only a 1.0

 

Nothing at all, train or otherwise. When raising a family, I wanted a lot, but had very little money. Now, at 71, there is very little I want, and I have the money to buy something now and then (the latest being a 1966 classic archery bow to get back into THAT hobby).

as for trains and such there is little i want and would not want to get any as a gift.  i like to hunt for it.  but what i really want for christmas is something i can never have.  i would like all of my family back to have a christmas with.  but alas they are in a better place.  

That's not blasphemy, Matt, it's good sense.

I bought two buildings and two loaded freight cars from Menards.   The door company and service station Woodland Scenics buildings.   I am inviting family to wrap one of those items for me, if they would like to.   I know what I can look forward to on Christmas.

 

Actually, for the last few years, we have been unwrapping one present from family each evening for the five days before Christmas.   Then Santa comes Christmas morning.  Its been a nice family tradition for us.

Really looking forward to quality time with friends and family.  Hopefully good health and good times for all in 2014.

 

It's been Christmas just about all year at our house for train related items.  There's really not much on the list that I really want..........maybe a Lionchief plus or a circus loco, or putting together a NM Rail Runner train for my wife who grew up in Albuquerque.    Most likely will hold off until my 11 year old and I go to York for Christmas in April or October.

 

Would love Santa to bring a Ross Custom #175 Double Crossover.

 

But seriously just good times, good health, and a happy and prosperous New Year is my biggest wish not only for me but for everyone.
