If...IF....one were to convert Lionel/K-Line die cast two bay hoppers to two rail, what trucks are best/easiest/smoothest?

Just my own opinion, but I really like the Athearn plain bearing Bettendorf trucks, and second choice would be the MTH die cast Bettendorf trucks. Both run VERY freely, and aren't that expensive. They also work quite nicely on my Atlas O 3-Rail track, for what it's worth.

Just put metal wheelsets in them - Intermountain drop in nicely and make them roll even better.

I vote for Athearn also. Weaver Delrin gets used the most on my rolling stock.
