what type light bulb did lionel use ?

I already called them, no dice. I need to find a bulb that will work. I am hoping someone here knows what bulbs LIONEL uses?

  620-8527-009 is a 18v Gow bulb. I don't know if these are what you want.

Bill, I cannot pull that number up on the Lionel sight. I get nothing. I do need just the bulbs and wires.

I believe Lionel only has used LEDs in tender markers. K-line used 1.5 bulbs. I think I have a couple of the tiny marker light bulbs. I'll get back on this tomorrow to verify if I have them. I see you measured 18volts, so I'll check on this too.

Chuck, the marker light bulbs, front and back, all use some type of grain of wheat bulbs. The voltage is full track voltage and no resistor circuits. If you pull up 620-1298-300 you can see this. It is the engine harness.

I finally got the number provided by Bill to come up. That bulb looks like its too long. It has to fit up inside the matker lamps and has to be 18 volts..

  Look at this pn 6109170300 on lionels site, These are half the size of the gow, but they are only 2.5v. I have them. The 620-1298-300 is a LED harness.

Bill, the voltage going to the marker lights is 18v max. I have tested this. Only half the engine harness is for an led, and that is the headlamp. The two marker lights are 18v.

 I checked a couple of K-line engines and the tender markers are small red LEDs. If your's are bulbs, it looks like 620-1104 are the ones you need, but they are clear.

Any way you can post a picture of the bad one?

Chuck, the bulb is missing from the marker lamp. It apparently was broken off in a fall to the floor, and replaced with one similar. It must be a white bulb because the marker lights already have red lenses. Lionel shows an engine harness for this model and it shows the 2 bulbs attached. They are the same and go into the front green marker lights. I have ordered the engine harness and plan to canibalize it for the needed parts.

Thanks Bill, that page shows what I need I think. The lights I need may well be red.
