I have piles of orginal AF track and now S Helper in moderate amounts. Which one to use on a layout? I love the AF remote switches with their lights and being able to just hook up a semaphore to the terminals as well.
However the scale look of the track and different radius's available from MTH(S Helper)offers more options in track planning.
MTH needs to get on making some #5 switches and crossovers Right away!.
Lionel is offering their new brand of AF Fastrack(which I would consider), but they dont offer the full track options either.
I know I havent addressed using American Models track, which incidentally DOES offer much more track options than either Lionel or MTH, but I cannot commit to a track plan where I would want to ballast all the track(thats my excuse)
Im am more of an Operator who is constantly changing his mind on a track plan and like the built in roadbed idea.
Anyone else in a state of confusion on this topic?
Perhaps some you whom have been at York this week might be able to provide more insight for what will be offered in the near future. Al
