Yellow.  When very small I had this railroad picture book that showed MK&T cabooses

in yellow.  I never saw a yellow caboose until much later.  I use yellow on my cabooses and passenger cars now, trimmed in green to represent aspens in fall and Engelmann

spruce.  The Union Pacific used yellow.  Can't think of other roads that did, but there

probably were some.

The Chicago & North Western used yellow.  The Milwaukee Road changed to yellow from orange and maroon.

My favorite is still good old stainless steel.  However, GN's green and orange and NP's two tone green would be tied for second.

As a boy I liked the beautiful America Flyer 'Northern Pacific' passenger set headed by the Alco PAs in two-toned green. Today I still like that scheme as well as the Green and balck Canadian National cars that MTH produced awhile back. Weaver has announced them in their upcoming 'Bradley' cars.

Another favorite is our Lionel Blue Comet from 1991 that gets showcased in the living room.

Like you, Railroadtrip445, my favorite color combination for passenger cars and most diesels is the UP armor yellow with gray and red stripe.  Love it - have a lot of it.  For steamers, I like flat black a lot.

That said, my favorite railroad livery design is ATSF's red-silver Warbonnet, but only on EMD F and E diesels.  Can't get enough of either Warbonnet of armor yellow and gray, and I'm glad I don't have to pick between the two.

My favorite, and probably the most colorful passenger train known to mankind, is basically white, has a large red and yellow bird on the side of the engine and comes with passenger cars that have huge red/yellow feathers stretched across them; and is the first to my knowledge to come to O-Gauge.
