I've seen these small parts loose in boxes with certain Lionel scale boxcars and stock cars. Does anyone know what they are and were they attach?

This is gonna be a crappy picture because I just zoomed in on a picture I had. But would see those on the Bettendorf style trucks. They are right above the springs and I believe they actually help keep them on place

Yup, that's what they are. Thanks very much. This particular car had three of these loose in the package, and I see they're missing on three of the trucks. The two pins go into the two springs on each truck. These seem to come out from time to time on these cars. Will glue these in place.
The larger pins with the slots go into the bolsters. The smaller pins I call "nubbins" hold the springs.
