I've purchased a MTH GS-4 4-8-4 Northen Steam Engine with Proto-Sound 3.0. How do you use the Quillable whistle feature. I have downloaded the operators manual but can't find anything about it. I am using DCS with remote controll.

The quillable whistle is only available on Premier engines. If yours is a Premier, to activate the quillable with the remote, above the first soft key you should see "QPW". Select it and "whistle" should appear in the screen. By rolling the thumbwheel up/down plays the whistle. When done, push the softly again and your remote window returns to SMPH. With the APP, double tap the pull cord for the whistle and it will change from white to purple. Now just pull the cord up/down to play the whistle. Double tap the cord when done, it returns to white and whistle returns to normal. I have found the APP is more sensitive than the remote for this.

If you're using the DCS remote the quillable whistle is accessed by pressing the SPW soft key.
Thanks Lou, I haven’t used my remote in so long I forgot the correct acronym.
