I think we need a topic of who made it. anyway I bought this off that auction site, and have no idea who made it. My guess is around 1900.
It has about 5" clearance and is about 17" end to end. Has room for two trains ( per my pics, I tried to use the two biggest pre war I had ( 814R & 815 )

Thanks for the find, but do need to ask, how you come up with post war period when the company did items from prewar thru modern times. I tried to figure out what year and could not find anything.
Wimmer started in 1928 with clockwork toys, but not trains. After WW2 they started to make railway items in 0 gauge and later H0 gauge (see https://spur00.de/hwn). So I cannot be more precisely. There is not much documentation on HWN, but one of the German Schiffmann Kataloge (13/2) seems to list HWN items. I do not have that catalogue.

Thanks for all the great info. It still will look great with my Prewar trains. It will give the presents of something from the prewar era.
