I know BEEP cars and locos are smaller than other o scale cars and locos, but what about BEEP sitting figures? Sizewise how do they measure up and compare to those from other manufacturers such as MTH's unpainted sitting figures or others that are prepainted? Are they closest to 1:43, 1:48 or Plasticville sized figures? I'm thinking of using them in MTH RailKing passenger cars and Lionel cars. For any of you who've already used them for this purpose, how do they look - too big, too small, a perfectly proportioned fit? How about putting them in vehicles and on benches in and around town buildings and restaurants? How do they look? Decent paint job and finish?

What about the BEEP set of standing figures? Qualitywise, how do they compare to those from other manufacturers? What about size and proportion side by side with other manufacturers' figures? Feedback and personal experiences of those of you who use them or have seen them in use are most welcome and appreciated. Thank you.

I've used a few, but they don't look too realistic to me but I have used some in cars, abd fir engineers and firemen on locos, etc.  When I put passenger figures in cars, I use mostly some figures I buy unpainted, in a bag of 120 gray plastic people.  I don't know who makes them - I looked on a couple of sites but could find them just now.  The figures are a bit small, about 1:55 and fit easier in seats, etc. - sometimes I cut the legs off to ease fitting them.  Generally I find smaller than scale figures easiest to fit in passenger cars.

For "outdoors", on the layout, I prefer Woodland Scenics and Prieser figures and JTT unpainted - they look more realistic to me.

I never bought them because sizes (scale) seems to vary within the pack. Also, I personally feel the colors are too garish, and the detail is not as good as other brands. On the plus side, they cost less than most others.

For populating interiors of passenger cars I hand-paint MTH figures (a bag of 120 costs about $29.). For the rest of the layout I use Arttista and Scenic Accents. I would rather buy fewer trains than try to save money on figures or 1:43 cars.

Lee Willis... The newest run of Seated BEEPeople have more realistic 'flat finish' painting and are also in more subdued clothing paint colors. The fellow with the lime green leisure suit 'has left the building'. RMT does not have any more of these earlier versions in stock.

Seated and standing are assorted 'people' sizes but are basically same scale and on same size RMT card. The photos below are not both same size photo.

The way to tell whether it is new paint colors, other than personal inspection, is that these seated packages have the white RMT-99417 sticker in upper right corner.
