Will Legacy work ?

IT ITS TOY TRAINS FOR MEOGR Forum Member

I just purchased my 1st TMCC locomotive in a very long time.  It is a lionel GP30  from somewhere around 2002 or so.  I am wondering if I can run TMCC locomotives with a Legacy system or if I have to go back and purchase s tmcc set up ?   I will be adding more lionel locos in the future, some with legacy Im sure, so if legacy will run both I will just plan to purchase that set up.
