If you guys are lovers of the 44 Tonner look as I am, just wait until Lou Caponi is ready to show us the LCCA offering.
From what he said in a post about a month ago it's going to look really cool. I got the impression that it will be more of an 88 Tonner when it is ready and the colors will make many very happy.

It probably wont have any Legacy or TMCC in it because most club members don't wont to pay for it. But, that is an easy fix for those of us that are into the high tech control systems. It will have up graded dicast trucks with many added details on it.

In any case, I have a couple of Williams 44 Tonners, as well as a few other engines and they are all great runners and lookers. Way better then any of the three Post War and two modren Lionel 44's that I have.
The Post War Lionel units have open frame motors so they give that wonderful ozone smell but my three Williams models look and run circles around them even in their best days. As for the modern Lionel models all I can say is Razz

Would it be possible to mount the trucks from a WBB Baldwin Shark or Alco FA onto the underframe of a WBB 44-tonner? How about the O-27 FA/NW2 trucks?

The williams B-B power truck block should be the same so just the side frames could be swapped from the incorrect F unit side frames to the Fa-2 or better yet the Nw2 switcher side frames. Wink
Hi Jeff, I just watched your review and it was really neat. You forgot to mention all the cast in detail that the engine has and the horn and bell are not bad at all for the money.

You mentioned that you only paid sixty dollars for the engine and it's brand new. Well that's a really good price, I think the list on those engines are around $200.00. I could be wrong so I will go on line to check it out.

If Muffins is around, or some other Williams dealer they can correct me if I'm wrong. In any case I hope you have many years of fun and good memories with your 44.
