Does this New Williams by Bachmann Comeback include rerunning the Yellow and Blue Bonnet F-3s and also the motor kits to power dummy F-3s? I have a few F3 and Alco FB dummys I would like to power using the now unavailable motor kits.

Yea, I see that, but, But in the original message it stated new locomotives. Curious what those are.....
Williams should be offering these for starters:
F3 in Southern Pacific "bloody nose" red & gray
F3 in VIA Rail Canada
F3 rerun in Santa Fe yellowbonnet and bluebonnet
AMTRAK Genesis in the 5 color schemes of the 50th anniversary Amtrak
If anybody needs switches (turnouts) for E-Z Streets (or Superstreets) Mario’s prices for those are great. I wish had room for more on my streetcar layout.

I wonder what Mario meant by "Williams by Bachman is making a comeback" I went to his website and although I love Williams Bachmann product, I could not identify any new product. Can Mario tell us what he meant by "Williams By Bachmann is making a comeback" ? Is there new product coming soon?

Maybe for a real comeback you can get some special runs, Possibly Early Amtrak F-3 with The Red Nose and Southern Pacific F-3s with the Red Nose and BOLD SP on the nose. Now that would be a come back! And don't forget to re-run the Yellow Bonnet Santa Fe F-3's . Also a nice Penn Central and Conrail RS-3 with Tru Blast Plus would be VERY WELCOME! Even some Bandit Penn Central / Conrail units would be good to add to that too. They would sell like hotcakes!

I’m not big on conventional locomotives but you piqued my interest with bloody nose F3!
My guess is that Mario was doing what merchants selling all sorts of products do...try to drum up interest with creative advertising. I suspect it may have been prompted by the recent fairly long thread on Williams trains.
Having said that, it's more than fair to say that the title wording is a little bit...curious. What/where exactly is the so-called comeback?
But we're here talking about it so mission accomplished?
With all the negative feedback on the forum about the Williams line not being produced by Bachmann, the thread title has some logic to it. Williams has always been known for its consistency as opposed to its innovation. There is a place for this in the marketplace so I see no issue with it.
To the question of custom runs, my experience is that Bachmann is not open to them. That is their choice to make.

I agree that Williams by Bachmann is not open to custom runs and that is too bad as they have a solid and predictable product that many would purchase more of if it was offered in other road names. How many of us have ever opened a Williams box and had a disappointment? Maybe I have been lucky, but I do not see it that way! I just love how good Williams is straight out of the box at an affordable cost, good packing, good quality control! Not only my experience, but also that of many of my friends who also have purchased Williams by Bachmann trains. And I also agree that as a free enterprise, WBB can totally can choose what they build and when they build it.
I mean who would not want WBB to make a few of those engines that we all dream about like i have listed above as well as some other members. I mean who could resist an Amtrak blood nose or Gray and Red SP F-3 set. (I know some of you would not be even be ok with the thought of these, but some of us do like to dream and like you, they represent what was on the rails when we were kids. I mean folks, I never saw a PRR or B&O engine or passenger train "which i still love by the way", but I did see many Amtrak, Penn Central and Conrail ones! ). So help us out a bit now LOL.
With that said, I just added two weeks ago a Williams scale FA and FB set in Erie. What a beautiful set. I also in the past acquired the Erie F-3 ABA and a Texas Special F-3 ABA as well as a Semi Scale S-2 PRR Turbine and its matching green 4 car set of Luxury Liners. Because I like their product so much, I also have 3 scale GG-1s Amtrak, Penn Central and PRR Brunswick Green 5 stripe plus a Virginian Black and Yellow Fairbanks Morse H-24-66 Train Master. But because I really like their reliability, I could not help myself but to get a Williams brass scale Niagara, A Williams Brass Scale N&W J No. 611 and a Brass Lackawanna camel back. Amazing execution with every single piece. There are other pieces I still dream about, but a bit of self control is good at times.
I also have on my roster, many Atlas O, K-line and Lionel in TMCC and conventional and MTH and Weaver in conventional. During the mid 2000s I used to have a large roster of MTH P-2 locomotives with DCS, but unfortunately I purchased during the early DCS P-2 years and they all one by one succumbed to the blown capacitor shotgun blast death! It was a solemn time on my home road as locomotive after locomotive met its final days on the roster as the capacitor failures spread fleet wise. Don't get me wrong, I loved the DCS system and the locomotives but it was a situation that for me their retirement was the only smart thing to do. Instead of going on a massive fleet wide repair and modification program, due to the high cost projected, the railroad management decided to retire and fire-sale the entire DCS P-2 fleet and the DCS system from the railroad and in the MTH line, just keep the conventional ones, some P-1 and some with reverse boards and horn. By 2010 the final P-2 locomotive was stricken from the roster with the exception of two dead Amtrak GE P42s. One was recently sent to Ohio to a sister railroad where it was gutted and made into a dummy. The last one remains, hopefully will be made operable again with either TMCC or a conventional board. I am currently looking at getting two MTH P-3 locomotives as we speak as they seem to be resilient and very reliable in my friends railroads in comparison to early P-2 versions.
I truly have a good solid representation from almost every manufacturer in my O gauge railroad empire and glad to have Williams as part of it and looking forward to a few more. I do not have one negative thing to say about Williams and Williams by Bachmann! Simply put, I enjoy their product and it has always brought me total satisfaction 100%.
PS, I have also an extensive fleet of Golden Gate Depot Amtrak and Great Northern passenger cars! I love GGD products too, so to GGD, keep up the awesome work!
What comeback? Each year the amount of Williams pages and product keeps getting smaller.
E-33 in Penn Central would be nice.

Hi. I have the Williams/Bachmann Santa Fe F3 ABA Black Bonnets (20196 and 20296) beautiful diesels, run great and look good - not as shiny as Lionel or KLine or MTH.
price was just right.
I wish Williams by Bachmann WOULD make a comeback, with command control locomotives. But until it does, my engines will remain strictly Lionel.
I have there GE 44T, and the 70T. I wish they would offer 2 rail wheels like MTH did.
You would think after investing money in all the new tooling in the last few years Bachmann would try to make a profit.
If they're making a comeback, it's a slow road they've picked for the journey!

Lionel will run into a brick wall down the road. Check out some of their recent prices (Built to order) items, the O gauge runners that we meet with just shake their heads and laugh. All these new electronics are great, let’s see in 5-10 years if they still work, or if you can get replacement parts (like some of MTH - RailKing) electronic boards that are lost to time.
If you want new generations to get interested in the hobby some manufacturers are moving in the wrong direction.
Lionel has had issues in the past and were saved at least 3 times.
The old Lionel postwar diesels / steam engines will still be running 50 years from now. That won’t be the case for sure with for all the new electronic parts / controls used these days.

What comeback???? Williams is all but dead. No new products in years (except those dumb eggliners) and most of their locomotives are no longer produced. It's high time they got into producing new product and with tmcc or Bluetooth control! I'm not interested in conventional semi-scale stuff from thier past. Their former K-line rs-3s are fantastic though, and I'd love for Bachmann to re-run those with command control and a full (and LOUD) sound package.

Actually, most of the MTH stuff you can still get electronics for, they stock replacement boards all the way back to the 1990's for PS/1. Specifically, what MTH locomotive are you trying to revive?
If I am going to have to toss the Williams electronics to install my own TMCC or DCS boards I would be more inclined to purchase a locomotive with NO electronics and an appropriate decrease in price. j
Old OP or not, a reissue of their scale FA1/FB1 in as delivered PRR scheme would be nice. These are the only non-brass, 3-rail scale FA1s made. If cheap enough, it would be worthwhile to upgrade.
This whole thread was started by a forum sponsored trying to sell some product. It came on the heels of a separate thread in which forum members discussed their frustration about the Williams line under Bachmann in recent years. That was in 2021.
Somehow, probably because of the ironic and misleading title, this then turned into a discussion thread. And now someone revived it.
Pointless, really.
There is no comeback in the Williams line. There wasn’t in 2021 when this was posted by a dealer. There isn’t now. It’s too bad. Williams played an important role, and Bachmann held the product line together for a few years before losing interest in it and deciding the market wasn’t profitable enough in O gauge. Nothing has changed. And nothing will as long as Bachmann’s mass-market-minded holding company Kader controls Bachmann.
